Now touring with his new band Hugh Flying Birds, the star revealed he was blaming the 'ongoing march of time' for his declining memory and shared details about nearly forgetting lyrics while bashing out hits onstage. 'I've found myself on this tour consciously thinking, 'What is the next line to this song?'', he said during a chat with Matt Morgan. On the broadcaster's Patreon podcast, he continued explaining: 'It's like, you've just got to think about it.' Noel penned some of music's greatest hits during his years with Oasis, including Wonderwall and Don't Look Back in Anger. He added: 'My forties was my absolute peak — but from the minute I woke up on the 30th May in my first day of my fifties, it's just been one thing after another. 'What I've found is that the slightest knock stays with you for ages and then it's something else. 'I can't wait to get my mobility scooter, if I'm being honest.' Aside from ageing, Noel has been dealing with the aftermath of his split from his wife Sara MacDonald, 51, after 12 years of marriage and two sons together – Donovan, 15, and Sonny, 12.
