Nintendo Switch 2 will be out in early 2024 claims Chinese source

A component manufacturer in China expects to see a sudden rise in income, thanks to the fact that it’s working on Nintendo’s new console.

You can never rule anything out when it comes to Nintendo but it’s now looking increasingly unlikely that they will announce the successor to the Switch this year. Not when revealing it close to Christmas could impact sales of the original console – which are still doing surprisingly well.

Beyond that, there’s not enough information to make any real guesses as to what’s going on. However, according to Chinese company Hongzhun Industry, they expect their revenues to take a sharp upswing in the second half of 2023, as they begin manufacturing parts for a new Nintendo console they expect to come out in the first quarter of 2024 (so before April).

They make metal casings and heat dissipation modules, so nothing exciting, but while the early 2024 release seems to only be speculation on their part, it is based on the components they’re providing,

Because this relies on a machine translation, something may have been confused somewhere – perhaps they only mean assembly of the completed console will begin in early 2024 – but they do seem adamant that it will be out next year.
