A senior NHS director accused in court of failing to prevent serial baby killer Lucy Letby has been suspended.
Alison Kelly allegedly failed to act on doctors’ “serious concerns” about the nurse while she was director of nursing and quality at the Countess of Chester Hospital, where Letby murdered seven babies.
Kelly is now a director of nursing at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust in the Manchester area and has been suspended due to several accusations that were heard during the court case.
