EDDIE HOWE looks set to miss out on a summer target with Benjamin Rollheiser heading for Zenit St Petersburg in a £12million deal.
The Argentine attacking midfielder, 23, was on Newcastle boss Howe’s radar – with fellow Premier League sides Burnley and Sheffield United also taking a look.
Rollheiser likes the Prem but the Russians are close to agreeing a fee with Argies Estudiantes and Zenit’s offer may be too good to turn down.
Newcastle have been busy in the transfer market this summer, bringing four new players to St James’ Park.
