New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh has responded to recent claims made by Denver Broncos coach Sean Payton and defended his offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett
The New York Jets have responded to comments made by Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton.
Payton made headlines earlier in the week with his comments about the way the Broncos were coached before his arrival. The 59-year-old former New Orleans Saints head coach was named HC of the Broncos in January after a chaotic year for the franchise
The 2022 season for the Broncos saw the AFC West team finish 5-12 and bottom of their division. Star quarterback Russell Wilson was not at his best for much of the season following a huge trade with the Seattle Seahawks, throwing for 3,524 yards with 11 touchdown passes.
Payton has been ringing the changes since he arrived in Denver at the start of the year. That involved making adjustments to what his predecessor, Nathaniel Hackett, implemented previously.
