Tension was high as the New York Jets opened their gates to fans on Saturday for an open practice, with three fights taking place in front of the Hard Knocks cameras
The good vibes have been flowing within the New York Jets in recent weeks and months, but tensions started to boil over at training camp on Saturday with multiple fights taking place in front of fans at Florham Park.
The Jets were hosting their first open practice of the summer with a sold-out crowd in attendance at the team facility to get a first look at Aaron Rodgers and his teammates ahead of the new NFL season.
Optimism has been in plentiful supply within the franchise after drafting well in recent seasons, and confidence has only grown with the acquisition of four-time MVP Rodgers in a trade with the Green Bay Packers, with growing belief that a 12-season wait for playoff football will finally come to an end.
But tempers flared on Saturday morning, with reports of three fights breaking out during practice, with one caught on a camera from the bleachers. The skirmishes also took place in front of the cameras for HBO’s Hard Knocks, which will follow the Jets throughout training camp and air in the coming weeks.
