Neighbours star Takaya Honda says he had no idea that the show was being rebooted.
Soap fans rejoiced as a reboot was announced just months after the soap was axed – but some of the cast have claimed they had no idea it was coming back and found out the same time as everyone else. The actor, 35 – who played David Tanaka on the show – was left stunned when it was revealed online today that Neighbours was coming back.
In a post shared on social media, they wrote: “Breaking News from Erinsborough! Neighbours will return for a brand-new series next year exclusively on @AmazonFreevee, alongside thousands of episodes from previous seasons to stream as you please.
” #Neighbours will be available on @AmazonFreevee in the UK and US and will return to @channel10au in Australia. We can’t thank you all enough for your love and support and are so excited for this new adventure!”
