A huge police presence was seen in the area at his home in Massapequa Park. A large law enforcement presence has also been spotted outside the courthouse in Riverhead, where the suspect is set to appear before a judge later. One neighbour of Heuermann's, who has lived in the area for 34 years, said she was shaken by the situation but said she's "not surprised" he's a suspect. Although she didn't reveal her name, she told The New York Post: "It kind of makes sense — hotshot city guy. He has money," adding a pointed three words: "I'm not surprised.' She said: 'We could've been in the grocery with him and just never know. I'm getting chills. 'My husband has seen him before sitting on his step. It's a quiet neighbourhood so it's just surprising. 'All the victims' families are living through it again. That's who I feel bad for." Heuermann is believed to be married with two children. Heuermann founded architectural business RH Consultants & Associates, Inc. According to the firm's website, Heuermann's "clients include Catholic Charities, NYC-DEP Sewerage Treatment and American Airlines and other major tenants at the JFK International Airport." Another neighbour, Barry Auslander, 72, told The Post: 'I've seen him. He looks regular, like an everyday guy. I've seen him when I take my wife to the train — he takes the train to his office in the city." He added: 'He seemed like a regular neighbour. 'He grew up here.
