Natalie Ann Jamieson reflects on wave of ‘strange and sad’ Emmerdale exits

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Emmerdale dropped a double bombshell on viewers recently, after it initially seemed that Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) had finally succumbed to his loathing of Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) by shooting his rival dead.

The murder happened during a brutal fight when Cain discovered Al’s affair with Chas (Lucy Pargeter). But on Friday the whole story switched around when Cain revealed to Moira (Natalie J. Robb) that he was taking the fall to protect his son Kyle (Huey Quinn) – who was the real killer.

In upcoming episodes, Kyle and his mum Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) take centre stage as we find out what exactly happened in that barn when Al was shot – how Kyle came to be there and to pull the trigger.

The boy confesses everything to his mum as the guilt of knowing that his dad is in prison to protect him becomes too much for him to deal with on his own.
