A minister has told Nadine Dorries to “get on with it” and deliver on her vow to resign as an MP.
John Glen, the Chief Secretary to the Treasury, has become the latest senior government figure to put pressure on Ms Dorries to formally exit the House of Commons.
Asked if he believed the former culture secretary should step down immediately, Mr Glen told Sky News: “Well, I am a bit bemused. She said that she was going to resign immediately, she hasn’t done so, and I understand the frustration of her constituents.
“If they can’t get access to her then they are going to be very disappointed in that.
