She has taken things one step too far
It’s commonly known that you can tell a lot about someone from how they treat wait staff in restaurants, bars, and cafes. We’ve probably all seen someone fly off the handle and be rude to a server just trying to do their job. It’s never nice and makes for uncomfortable viewing.
But what do you do when you realise your partner is âone of those people’? That is exactly what a man discovered while out for dinner with his wife. Sharing the amusing story on Reddit, he asked the internet if he is out of order for pledging to never take his other half out again.
He wrote: “My wife is becoming a real Karen these days, and I’ve begun to fear going to restaurants with her. She is very demanding of service workers, which I don’t really get since she used to be one herself before she got her job in high finance.
“Today she went way too far. We went out to dinner and she tried to order an item that wasn’t on the menu. She hadn’t been able to decide between two different entrees, so she wanted both of them on one plate for the price of one of them. The waitress said she couldn’t do that, and my wife smiled and cocked her head in the same way I’ve seen her do a hundred times as she prepared to rip into whichever poor worker had crossed her that day.”
