The dress is said to be a strapless, floor-length Alexander McQueen gown, made from 100 per cent silk. Pink in colour, it has a sweetheart neckline and a corset bodice. She paired her luxurious gown with the necklace her fiancé had gifted her, plus a pair of pearl earrings and her engagement ring. Her fiancé wore a tuxedo to the ceremony, so she wasn't the only one "overdressed", and they had both assumed they would fit with the formal dress code her sister had stipulated. Little did they realise they'd made an awkward mistake. Taking the Reddit, the unnamed woman wrote: "We dressed for formal with black tie optional. Turned out, she didn't mean that dress code and just meant to wear something more formal. "The wedding was more semi-formal/cocktail. My dress looked more flowy and fancy than my sister's, who wore a modern-looking gown that was lovely and form-fitting but not as formal. We were so embarrassed." She continued: "My sister came up to me and asked what I was doing and told me that it's her wedding, not mine and she hated how I'm 'showing her up'. "I told her it was formal dress code and explained that and my fiancé said that's what he thought and he took accountability and said he bought me the dress. She then called him a disgusting snob and that he should know better. We just left after that and now everyone is annoyed at us for missing the wedding."
