A dad-to-be has taken to social media to share how his partner wants to give their twins matching names because it would be ‘cute’ – but he is worried they’ll be picked on
When it comes to naming a baby, most parents spend hours mulling over their options before finally settling on a moniker. But one soon-to-be dad has shared how he and his partner have been struggling to come to a decision over their twins’ names, saying all their discussions about it always end in an argument.
He explained how his 22-year-old partner wants to give their twins – one boy and one girl – matching names because it would be “cute”. Taking to Reddit, he said: “We were able to find out the gender about a month ago and discovered we’re having a boy and a girl.
“So now we’re super excited and have been thinking about names. Honestly, it’s been a bit of a struggle to find names from both genders, that we both like, and that go together.” However, his partner is now ‘dead set’ on naming the twins Jules and Julia – which he says is “basically the same name but for different sexes”.
“These were brought up separately and I liked both of them quite a lot. They’re both top of our list for the respective sexes,” he added. “Anyway, I was throwing out a couple of names and she says she likes these two the most.
