The woman excitedly responded: "I win this one, this one's mine!" Even though it was not the TikToker's first time telling the tale, she was just as exuberant filling in her followers on how she got her name. "My name is Parnassus, and if you know me, you definitely know this story. And you've heard it, like, a billion times, but I don't really care, I love it, so I'm gonna tell it again." With the big reveal out of the way, she continued to explain how her parents pulled Parnassus out of their baby-naming hat. "So, my parents thought that I was gonna be a boy, and then I was born, and I was not a boy." With pronounced facial expressions, Parnassus explained how things only got more pressurizing for the new parents: "And at the hospital that I was born in, you have to leave the hospital 24 hours after you give birth, so time was ticking," she pronounced with a buildup in her voice. She explained that the nurses nudged her parents to finally name her so that the family could leave with their baby girl. It was when her father took a walk outside of the hospital that a serendipitous encounter led to the name that sealed the deal. "The hospital was on a street called Parnassus Avenue, and the Parnassus Avenue bus drives past him, and he's like, hmm, a baby Parnassus... that could be kinda cute," she said playfully.
