The pair, aged 52 and 53, have secured the Guinness World Record title for "most body modifications" (married couple), which they've held for 10 years. Now, in a bid to continue her transformation, tattoo artist Gabriela has spent over £800 on implants under her neck to make her arms appear larger. She said: "I wanted to make this modification because I want to add more to my body. In reality, a modification for me forms part of my complete appearance and makes a new detail to a set [I already have]. And all together, that achieves me." Gabriela underwent the invasive procedure - called biomech implants - during a trip to Mexico, where they were invited to participate in an exhibition on modifications. Their friend, body modifier Gato Moreno, invited the couple to spend a few days at his family home, as well as visit his brand new tattoo studio. While there, he performed the surgery, where they began with marking the designated area. Next, an incision is made where the skin is separated with a spatula, before the implant is inserted underneath. Finally, the area is sutured and the process is completed in 40 minutes, costing €1,000 (£858) – but Gabriela says it didn't hurt in the slightest.
