Mary Rose Young hit headlines in 2020 after sharing her quirky house which she had struggled to sell in 2014. Mary Rose said buyers were 'put off' by the bright walls and patterned décor. Not wanting to chase her style Mary decided to stay in her home and use it as a workspace and gallery for her pottery business. Mary Rose and her husband are like "living in a doll's house" amongst the spectrum of stripes and spots. Mary loves colours like bright blue, greens and yellows. After sharing her news Mary Rose's inbox was flooded with requests from people across the globe wanting to tour her unusual home with some asking to use it as a backdrop in their music videos. Alongside her pottery business Mary decided to let her home out on AirBnB so that others can enjoy her creative home. She told the Mirror "Families have been staying there over the summer and the kids have loved it," she said.
