Murray makes retirement declaration and opens up on ‘frustrating’ loss

Andy Murray has once again addressed his tennis future, after opening up on his recent ‘frustrating losses’ Murray fell to defeat once more earlier this week, after his tournament at the Swiss Indoors ended in the round of 16 against Roberto Bautista Agut, with the Scot struggling to recapture the form from his peak.Despite defeating Roman Safiullin in his opening match on Tuesday, the British star could not replicate his form two days later, after losing to Bautista Agut in straight sets. His trip to Switzerland was his latest outing in an up and down season for the former world No. 1.Murray has been plagued with injury in recent years, linking the Scotsman to a retirement from the game on a number of occasions since admitting he was close to calling it quits at the 2019 Australian Open. Despite this, the Brit has continued to battle back, and 2022 has proven to be a perfect example of that.With Murray now 35, the Scottish star has once again addressed his future but seems keen to keep on competing.
