In the video, Whitney's daughter's hand could be seen with two acrylic nails left on her hand - but one of them had become loose and taken some of her normal nail with it. Explaining how it happened in an updated video, Whitney revealed her daughter's fingernail had become trapped in a door - and it had gone on to become infected. Luckily, she shared they had managed to get the nails off, but the daughter had to be on antibiotics. According to Whitney, her daughter has been "crying a lot" and said she is "never having them again". In the comment section other parents were sharing their own experiences of letting their children get acrylic nails, only to end up regretting it. One person shared: "My 12-year-old daughter [begged] me. I [gave] in and she caught the nail and it ripped her whole nail off underneath! Never again".
