 Typing 'what the duck?' wasn't an autocorrect mishap for a Cornwall mum who is best friends with a duck that hatched from a store-bought egg. Chloe Greenwood, 35, bought a six-pack of free-range eggs from Morrisons and had a feeling one might be fertilised in August last year. So she popped it in an incubator and out came Buddy the duckling one month later. 'She's absolutely wonderful – she's one of the family,' the former care worker from St Austell, about 10 miles south of Bodwin, said. 'We all love her so much.' 'When she was very little she followed me everywhere,' Chloe added. 'If I got up to leave the room she'd be running so fast to keep up.' Chloe incubated the fertilised egg she bought in Morrisons (Picture: Chloe Greenwood / SWNS) Chloe says that as a duckling, Buddy loved to follow her around the house (Picture: Chloe Greenwood / SWNS) Buddy is usually found playing with her toys or hanging out with Chloe's two cockapoos, Tilly and Lexin. 'She's so sociable. She goes to greet the postman every day. One of the loveliest things is when she stands on one leg with her head resting on the sofa and falls asleep,' Chloe said. 'She likes watching ducks on YouTube. And we play a game where she chases my finger along the sofa. 'She needs lots of attention but she's also happy to sit on the sofa and chill with me. 'She doesn't like the rain, which is funny for a duck.' Buddy does, however, love her paddling pool in Chloe's garden. After a quick dip, she taps on the window to be let back inside the home.
