After eventually being given the diagnosis in 2018, Sherri recalled feeling hopeful still, thinking 'They're going to take this out. I'm going to take the medicine and everything's going to be fine". Sherri underwent a year of chemotherapy and a surgery before going into remission for four years. After thinking she was finally in the clear, Sherri's fears were reignited when she started having symptoms again. She told TODAY.COM how she began losing weight, and her trips to the bathroom never felt complete, adding: "I was getting regular scans and told they were clear, but I had that feeling again and I just knew something was wrong".
