Morrissey angrily rips into Sinéad O’Connor tributes as it’s ‘too late’

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Morrisey’s tribute to the late Sinead O’Connor is a little different to most as he rips into people sharing kind words about her when it is ‘too late’.

The former Smiths frontman shared a lengthy, angry message to his website as the world reeled from the news that the Nothing Compares 2 U singer had died suddenly at the age of 56.

Tributes have naturally come in from everyone from the President of Ireland to Russell Crowe and fans around the world, particularly in Ireland where her influence was felt so much.

And Morrissey is now taking aim at this, describing it as ‘the cruel playpen of fame gushes for Sinead today … with the usual moronic labels of ‘icon’ and ‘legend’.
