Morrison shopper vows to never return after paying ‘ridiculous’ price for coffee

Supermarket giant Morrisons has been slammed by shoppers after they noticed how much some coffee is being sold for in stores, with one woman opting to buy the product at Home Bargains instead

Some shoppers have vowed to boycott supermarket giant Morrisons after they noticed how much a jar of coffee is being sold for in stores.

Amid the cost of living crisis and rising food prices across the country, Angela Howells-Owen was left in disbelief when she tried to buy a jar of Nescafe Gold Alta Rica from her local Morrisons.

When the shopper got to the till and was told it would cost £9 to purchase the 190g jar of coffee, Angela demanded a refund, Manchester Evening News reports.

Posting on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains website, Angela said: “Popped into Morrisons yesterday to pick some coffee up (alta rica) got to the till and it scanned at £9.00.
