As a result, two-thirds of youngsters are determined to find a career they are passionate about – even if their parents know little about it
More than a quarter (27%) of young people believe their parents do not like their jobs.
And when asked why they think this, more than a third (36%) of the 1,016 children polled, aged 11-16, put this down to their parents not being passionate about what they do.
As a result, when it comes to careers, 66% of youngsters are determined to find something they really enjoy.
But further research of 1,514 parents, found two-thirds say their child has expressed an interest in a future career they know very little about.
