Mike Tindall ‘simmering with anger’ at Matt Hancock entering jungle

Mike Tindall is reportedly ‘simmering with anger’ at former health secretary Matt Hancock deciding to join the jungle as one of the additional two campmates, according to a royal expert. Jennie Bond, speaking to Jeremy Vine, claimed the former England Rugby international, who later married the Queen’s granddaughter Zara Phillips, had been hoping for an ‘adventure in the jungle’ but has found himself sidelined by Mr Hancock, who has partaken of almost all the Bushtucker Trials and recently won a challenge to become camp leader. Mr Tindall and Mr Hancock have not exchanged many words during their time in the jungle thus far, but the royal was filmed describing the former health secrety’s reasons for going on I’m A Celebrity as ‘bull***t, bull***t, bull***t’ within minutes of meeting him. Mr Vine said: ‘Poor old Mike Tindall, Jennie, has gone in the wrong year, hasn’t he, because he is being overshadowed.’ Anne Widdecombe said: ‘Oh, but he has got no personality. He is not showing any personality.’ Ms Bond said: ‘Oh, I think he has got a great personality, Anne, yeah. He is a very funny guy and a celebrity in his own right. ‘He is sort of royal but he really just married someone who was the Queen’s granddaughter. But yeah, I think he is simmering underneath with anger that he has not had the chance to do what he wanted to do, which is have an adventure in the jungle. ‘He has just had to sit on a log and talk and be bored. So, I hope he will be liberated now. Sadly, not tonight, but he will be voted in to do lots of trials and he will do really well.’  Mike Tindall is apparently “simmering with anger” over Hancock’s appearance (Image: GITV ) Matt Hancock looked gleeful after winning the camp leader role (Image: GETTY )Mr Hancock was named camp leader on Sunday following a head-to-head with former England rugby star Mike Tindall for control of the campsite.Mr Tindall looked visibly frustrated when he and teammate and prospective deputy Sue Cleaver lost the battle for camp leader. Mr Hancock’s victory, alongside his appointee Charelene White as deputy, prompted a muted reaction from his other co-stars.And as the former health secretary was chosen by the public for a run of Bushtucker Trials, Mr Tindall appeared annoyed at his exclusion. READ MORE: ‘Don’t confuse Hancock the politician with Hancock the performer’ [INSIGHT]  Mike Tindall lost out to Matt Hancock during the camp leader contest (Image: ITV ) Tindall picked Sue Cleaver to be his prospective deputy leader (Image: ITV )Elsewhere in Monday’s episode, Mr Tindall amused his campmates with a story about a humorous interaction with his mother-in-law, the Princess Royal.Speaking to fellow contestant Seann Walsh, the 44-year-old, whose wife is Zara Tindall, said he had once ripped his trousers while performing a ‘slut drop’ dance move in front of Anne.Comedian Mr Walsh laughed at Tindall’s revelation and applauded him for the hilarious story. To finish, Mr Tindall said: ‘As I’ve turned round, she’s gone, ‘I’d rather not’.
