Michigan air show crash: Plane ‘malfunction’ as pilots eject from aircraft

Dramatic footage shows pilots ejecting from an MiG-23 aircraft in midair before their plane crashes in a ball of fire during The Thunder Over Michigan Air Show

Two pilots were forced to eject from an a fighter jet which has crashed at a major airshow near Willow Run Airport, Michigan.

A video of the incident shows two pilots using parachutes after the plane they were in began to appear out of control at the Thunder Over Michigan Air Show. The aircraft went down close to The Waverly on the Lake apartment complex in Belleville and law enforcement has confirmed both pilots are in a stable condition.

The cause of the crash is not yet known. The NTSB is investigating told the Mirror in a statement that the pilots declared an emergency before the crash.
