Michael Barrymore feigned tears during an ultra rare interview on This Morning today as he admitted he could be back on TV soon

Michael Barrymore feigned tears during a rare TV appearance on This Morning today.

The former Strike It Lucky presenter, 71, became emotional as he spoke about ‘stuff he was going through’ before attempting to hide his ‘tears’ and then joking ‘crying looks good on camera.’

Barrymore was dropped by ITV following the death of Stuart Lubbock at the star’s Essex home in 2001. Michael was never charged with any crime and had previously slammed TV bosses who ditched him.

Today, he appeared on This Morning to speak about his new TikTok fame as well as discussing his stint directing a West End production. Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle hosted This Morning today, where they were joined on the blue sofa by Michael.
