Two police officers who ‘joked’ about raping their colleague in a group chat with killer cop Wayne Couzens have been freed pending an appeal.
Metropolitan Police constable Jonathon Cobban, 35, and former Pc Joel Borders, 46, laughed about beating and sexually assaulting women, and using their Taser weapons on children, their trial had been told.
They have each been sentenced to 12 weeks in prison at Westminster Magistrates’ Court for sharing the ‘grossly racist, sexist, misogynistic’ texts on the encrypted platform with Sarah Everard’s killer in 2019.
But they were both bailed ahead of an appeal.
