The Met Office has issued a weather warning as the UK is set to be battered by heavy winds by gusts of up to 65mph.
The yellow warning for wind is in place on Wednesday in the North West of England, particularly in Irish Sea coastal areas where large waves are expected.
Parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland will also be affected.
The weather agency also says there could be short term loss of power, with the warning in place between 7am and 6pm.
