Meghan Markle’s adorable birthday tradition may pass down to kids

The Duchess of Sussex has a sweet birthday tradition that was inspired by her own mother and will likely be passed down to her own children. Meghan Markle celebrated her 42 nd birthday on Friday and almost certainly didn’t skip one tradition of Doria Ragland. Meghan wrote on her old blog The Tig that she treats every birthday as a chance to ‘make resolutions’ and treats them like her ‘own personal New Year’ thanks to her mum. She wrote: “My mom has always said that birthdays are your own personal New Year – your own chance to make resolutions just for yourself and what you prognosticate for your year ahead.’ Meghan added that the normal birthday tradition of making a wish just doesn’t quite cut the mustard. I have to say that when I close my eyes and think of what I wish for, I come up with a blank. A big old happy blank. I am feeling so incredibly joyful right now, so grateful and content that all I could wish for is more of the same. “More surprises, more adventure, more opportunities to grow, more days filled with giggles and cheeky jokes, more delicious meals, and more inspiration.” The sweet tradition will likely be passed down to her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet , according to Hello! Meanwhile, the Duchess and husband Prince Harry were spotted leaving a celebrity hotspot restaurant  in Montecito, California on Wednesday night, just two days before Meghan’s special day. But after the public outing, the Duchess is believed to have enjoyed her birthday surrounded by family and close friends at home in Montecito with Harry and their children. For her birthday back in 2019, when she was still officially a working member of the Royal Family, Meghan was treated to an artisanal cake from Luminary in her favourite flavour, carrot cake. That year the couple were still living at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor with Archie, who would have been just three months old.
