Meghan and Harry were ‘convinced’ they were ‘blessed with Diana’s magic’

Prince Harry has previously spoken out many times about how he keeps his late mother close – and it seems the couple felt her presence on their royal tour

Prince Harry has spoken out many times over the years about the impact that his mother’s death had on his mental health as he was just 12-years-old when Princess Diana was killed in a car crash. Harry has also revealed how he keeps his late mother close in his day-to-day life and how he is instilling her memory in his own children, Archie and Lilibet.

It seems that this belief grew either further when he and Meghan embarked on their successful 16-day tour of Australia, New Zealand, Tonga and Fiji in 2018. According to investigative journalist and author Tom Bower, the couple felt they had been “blessed” by “Diana’s magic” but failed to recognise that the late princess spent several years building up her public image.

Throughout their visit to Australia in 2018, Harry and Meghan visited several landmarks including Bondi Beach, the Sydney Opera House and attended the Invictus Games. Their tour mimicked that of The Prince and Princess of Wales’ in 1983.

Writing in his book Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War with the Windsors, journalist Tom Bower claims the couple felt their triumph was down to the fact that they had been “blessed” by Harry’s late mother.
