Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been publicly approached by internet celebrity, author and podcast host Josh King Madrid. The entrepreneur, who claims to have become a millionaire through eCommerce, NFTs and social media marketing, publicly stated he is ready to pay “over the odds” for the Montecito property where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been living since the summer of 2020, a few months after they stepped down as senior royals. The 24-year-old, who is known as JetSet, said: “I’m putting it right on the table for everyone to see – I want to buy Prince Harry’s house.”I want it so bad that I’ll pay $1million over what he paid for it. Now is that a good deal or what?”It might sound like it is too good to be true but if he does not think I have got the funds I will send him proof of my bank account balance.”As far as I am concerned we are all good to go and it is just a case of him and Meghan accepting the offer.” Meghan Markle and Prince Harry live in California (Image: GETTY) Josh King Madrid offered to buy Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s home (Image: instagram.com/jetset)Meghan and Prince Harry bought the nine-bedroom mansion, which reportedly features also 16 bathrooms, a SPA, a pool and a private gym among other amenities, for $14.65million.The Duchess recalled falling in love with this residence during her interview with The Cut magazine, where she also revealed Harry told her while looking at the palm trees linked at the bottom positioned in the garden: “My love, it’s us.”Meghan added: “We did everything we could to get this house. Because you walk in and go… Joy. And exhale. And calm. It is healing. You feel free.”In May, property websites in the US valued the 18,671 square feet home almost twice as much as the sum forked out by the Sussexes only two years prior.READ MORE: Harry and Meghan to snub Christmas invite – relations at ‘rock bottom’ Josh King Madrid is an entrepreneur and internet celebrity (Image: instagram.com/jetset) Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are no longer senior royals (Image: GETTY)But a more recent analysis by realtor.com suggested the average property price in the area had nosedived and dropped by approximately 45 percent.Earlier this month it was claimed Harry and Meghan may be interested in relocating to the more affluent and secluded Hope Ranch, a suburb located in Santa Barbara, California, much like Montecito.Mr Madrid, who focused on business after dropping out of the pre-medicine and business course at the University of California Irvine in his first semester in 2016, believes even people with extreme wealth are “feeling the pinch” amid the current economic environment given the recent rising of interest rates in the US to tackle inflation. This may help the Duke and Duchess of Sussex be tempted by his offer.DON’T MISS Palace ‘on tenterhooks’ as Harry poised to blindside Firm with book [LIVEBLOG]When is Harry going to stop playing the victim? asks CAROLE MALONE [COMMENT]Prince Harry to use book to ‘position himself’ in new role [INSIGHT] Meghan Markle and Prince Harry paid more than $14m for their home in Montecito (Image: GETTY)Explaining why he is ready to give the Sussexes more than what they paid for their current home, the entrepreneur said he believes the house market will recover and the gamble will eventually pay off.He added: “I’m not super famous and I never want to be. That house would be perfect for me and I won’t have to worry about security as much because there won’t be paparazzi and Royal Family obsessives constantly trying to catch a glimpse of me.”I could have pool parties all day long and no one would care. So even if it takes five or even 10 years for me to get my money back – I will be enjoying that house every second I live in it.”Maybe Harry and Meghan can’t do that which is why I hear they are selling.
