McFly’s Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Harry Judd and Dougie Poynter discussed new music post-tour, and why they appreciate gigging now more than before
McFly have revealed all on what’s next for them ahead of their upcoming tour, following the release of their new album Power to Play.
The group, who formed in 2003 before releasing their debut single a year later, released their seventh studio album in June, their first in three years. Band members Tom Fletcher Danny Jones, Harry Judd and Dougie Poynter are heading back out on tour too very soon.
The quartet confessed they were excited to be back doing more intimate gigs again, after a number of arena tours in the past. Danny said the group “appreciated” touring a lot more now than when they were younger, as Harry shared how it was different making music 20 years on.
But the band, who took some time away from music before reforming in 2019, have no plans to call it a day anytime soon, with Power to Play just the beginning. Harry confirmed that more new music was likely in the pipeline, with the group hoping to write more tracks as they reunite for their long upcoming tour.
