Known as 'heaven in a pie' the chocolately sweet treat featured a chocolate crust and came filled with chocolate sauce, people have furiously taken to X, formerly known as Twitter to share their thoughts. One user wrote: "'NO WAY IT WAS ACTUALLY SO GOOD. NOT HAVING THIS," whilst another commented: "The only reward I want is permanent double chocolate pie." And others are fuming as they didn't even know it was available on the menu, gutted they will never get the chance to try one. One user admitted: "I've never had one honestly. Now I'll never get the chance," whilst another added: "They had a double chocolate pie?" And a third wrote: "Didn't even get to try one I'm fuming." It comes after McDonald's announced their new summer menu, featuring a new take on the Quarter Pounders, and a new spin on the McCrispy, known as the McCrispy deluxe - armed with hot and spicy mayo, cheese and bacon.
