Max groomed by terrifying extremists in major new Coronation Street storyline

Coronation Street is set to highlight the issue of grooming of disenfranchised and impressionable young men in a new storyline with Max Turner (Paddy Bever) at the centre.

Max will be targeted in upcoming scenes by a gang of extremists, which ultimately puts his own life and those of his family and friends in serious danger.

The storyline kicks off on Friday (October 28), after Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) discovers that the band Griff and his mates have invited him see are playing racist songs.

Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) is similarly appalled, and thus she tackles Spider Nugent (Martin Hancock) about the company he is keeping – unaware that he is an undercover cop who has infiltrated the gang to expose their activity!

The subsequent outing of the ITV soap, airing on Monday (October 31), will see Griff turn his attention to Max, who has been the victim of persisting bullying since losing his place at Weatherfield High.
