 Acting legend and Coronation Street star Maureen Lipman has revealed she'll be bringing her new partner to this year's National Television Awards, news that comes two years after her husband's death. The Evelyn Plummer actress was married to Guido Castro, who died in 2021 at the age of 84. While Coronavirus wasn't the cause of Guido's death, it is believed he was weakened from it. Discussing her husband's final moments, Maureen previously revealed that she wasn't able to hold Guido's hand, due to wearing full PPE at his bedside. Now, Maureen has been speaking about connecting with a man called David. She has revealed how happy she is to be spending time with him, and is even bringing him along to the National Television Awards, which airs tomorrow (September 5) on ITV at 7:30pm.
