The actor, 53, who played Chandler Bing on the hit show, got emotional about how he looked during filming of friends as he detailed struggles he went through with drugs and alcohol.
His upcoming memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, is set to be released on November 1 and will talk about finding fame and the struggles he faced during that time.
In a new interview for ABC News, Diane Sawyer showed Matthew a clip of footage of him looking ‘painfully thin’ on a Friends episode from 1997, which was the year he first plunged into Vicodin addiction while recovering from a jet ski accident.
