Matt Hancock, 44, will be making a late entrance to the I’m A Celebrity camp on Wednesday night along with comedian Seann Walsh, 36. In his last interview before heading into camp, the former health secretary explained his why he joined the show and that his biggest fear would be going up against snakes. The Mirror described Matt as ‘deluded’ for entertaining the idea that he may win I’m A Celebrity, although the parliamentarian himself admitted it’s unlikely. He said being crowned king of the jungle would be ‘the icing on the cake’ but in a moment of clarity added: ‘I am not expecting it.’The former health secretary has become the subject of national scorn for taking part in the show, but claimed his family ‘are very supportive of me taking part’. The 44-year-old is making a late entrance to the show and in his last interview before heading to the jungle, he said: ‘Politicians are people too and it will be nice for people to see me as me. Matt is reportedly a big fan of the show, and explained that his biggest fear would be coming face-to-face with snakes. He said: ‘I have never come across a snake at close quarters and so I am pretty worried about anything to do with snakes.’I am not claustrophobic or at least I haven’t been found to be but that’s the thing about I’m A Celebrity – it is the unknown.”
