A number of Threads users have taken to rival service Twitter to moan about the issues with some even posting screen grabs of how bad the problem is. Speaking about the battery life troubles, one user named Michelle tweeted: "Is Threads a drain on the iPhone battery or did something change with the iPhones lately? I'm not on the app hardly at all but lately my battery is draining way more than normal." Whilst another called Mango, simply added: "Threads kills battery life." Threads user Courtney has been so incensed by the problems she's now deleted the app from her phone. "Don't download threads it will drain your battery. Last night I went to bed with a fully charged phone and woke up with 60% battery I deleted the stupid app," she tweeted. There's no word on what is causing the battery problems, whether it's worse on older devices or if it's affected certain versions of the Android or iOS operating systems. If there is a problem with the app it's likely that its owners, Meta, will rush out a fix as soon as possible. In the meantime, it's very simple to see if your phone is affected with both iPhone and Android offering battery checks which show which apps are chewing through energy. On iPhone go to Settings > Battery > Then scroll down to see what activity is causing the biggest percentage drop. On Android head to Settings > Battery > Battery Usage > Here you'll see what's going on with the power.
