 A massive blaze has broken out at Brighton's seafront hotel, the Royal Albion, and multiple emergency services are in attendance including fire engines, ambulances and police cars.The flames and black smoke can be seen on the upper floors of the hotel, and winds are contributing to the spread of the fire.Residents are being urged to stay away from the area and keep windows and doors closed for the time being.East Sussex Fire and Rescue (ESFR) were called at around 5.30pm to the hotel in the city. During that time flames were spotted erupting from the third floor of the busy hotel.This comes as the city is flocked with people celebrating Trans Pride. Musical indie rock band, The Popguns has decided to cancel their concert with the venue being close to the hotel and tweeted about the incident. Sussex Police said in a statement: "We are supporting the fire service at the Royal Albion Hotel in Old Steine in Brighton. The Old Steine and part of Kings Road have been closed while the incident is ongoing. We are asking the public to please avoid the area."
