Mason Greenwood continues to train away from Manchester United’s first-team as the Premier League club prepare to make a decision on his future, having had all charges against him dropped in February
Mason Greenwood is training with the same coach used by one former Manchester United player and one current star ahead of his potential return to football.
Ben Mangan has been working with Greenwood, who had charges of attempted rape, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service in February. The 21-year-old is yet to return to the fold at United, who’ve been conducting an internal investigation before deciding his future.
Greenwood, who last played for the Red Devils in January 2022 and has a contract for two more years, has been keeping himself sharp by training with Mangan. The coach has also worked with United academy starlet Kobbie Mainoo, who recently impressed in pre-season, and winger Anthony Elanga, who left the club last month to join Premier League rivals Nottingham Forest for £15million.
Greenwood, as first reported by The Sun, has been practicing during private sessions with Mangan. He did so again this past Tuesday, where Greenwood’s father and personal manager, Andrew, was pictured in attendance and seen holding his newly-born granddaughter.
