Marcus Rashford signs long-term Man Utd contract after snubbing rival offers

Marcus Rashford has signed a new long-term contract at Manchester United through to the summer of 2028 after rejecting approaches from other clubs to remain at Old Trafford

Marcus Rashford has signed a new long-term contract at Manchester United that will extend his stay at the club until 2028.

Rashford, 25, had entered the final year of his previous deal and has now penned a new five-year agreement worth £400k per week. This represents a significant pay rise on his previous £200k-a-week salary, penned during his last extension in 2019.

The England international rejected lucrative proposals from Premier League rivals and clubs abroad in favour of committing his future to United. He has starred under Erik ten Hag – Rashford’s fifth manager of his Red Devils career – and has become one of Europe’s in-form frontmen.

“I joined Manchester United as a seven-year-old boy with a dream,” Rashford has said upon confirmation of the deal. “That same passion, pride, and determination to succeed still drives me every time I have the honour of wearing the shirt. I’ve already had some amazing experiences at this incredible club, but there is still a lot more to achieve and I remain relentlessly determined to win more trophies in the years ahead.
