Marcus Rashford has named clubs he’d join as Man Utd face race against time

Marcus Rashford has less than a year left on his current Manchester United deal but the club are working to tie the forward down to a new contract with the World Cup looming

Manchester United are facing a race against time to secure Marcus Rashford’s future with the forward out of contract next summer.

The 25-year-old has been one of Erik ten Hag’s standout players so far this season, with Rashford scoring seven times in 16 matches. He netted the all-important goal as United ran out 1-0 winners over West Ham United on Sunday – heading home his 100th Red Devils strike.

However, Rashford is out of contract in June 2023 and has entered into the final eight months of his £200,000 per-week deal. According to the Daily Mail, there is an option to extend his deal by a further year, and United could either trigger that or offer him fresh terms given his impressive start to the season.

As it stands, Rashford is open to start talking to foreign clubs from January 1 and potentially strike a pre-contract agreement, which would see him move elsewhere next summer. Paris Saint-Germain expressed an interest in the England international in August, while the striker’s representatives went to meet officials from the club over the summer.
