Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been surplus to Erik ten Hag’s plans at United, with the manager instead relying heavily on Diogo Dalot this season
Erik ten Hag will look to sign a right-back in January if Manchester United are able to offload Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Diogo Dalot has established himself as United’s first choice right back under Ten Hag and is the only outfield player in the squad to have started all 19 matches so far this season.
But Ten Hag wants quality competition in the position and is keen to bring in another right-back in the winter window, even if that may hinge on United getting Wan-Bissaka off the wage bill.
United paid Crystal Palace £50 million to sign Wan-Bissaka under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in 2019 but the 24-year-old has been a peripheral figure since Ten Hag’s arrival as manager in May.
