Manchester United and Tottenham have same transfer thought for January

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering a move to bring former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham back to the Premier League. Abraham has elevated to a new level since leaving England for AS Roma and is now in the crosshairs of two of his nation’s biggest clubs. After joining Jose Mourinho in Italy at the start of last season, Abraham flourished as one of Europe’s most prolific strikers, scoring 27 goals in all competitions, including nine in Roma’s Europa Conference League-winning campaign. Still only 25, he poses as an enticing option for suitors in the Premier League, where he may feel he has unfinished business.Abraham netted 30 times in 82 Chelsea appearances before Thomas Tuchel deemed him surplus to requirements, splurging £97.5million to take Romelu Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge. And while Lukaku’s career backtracked throughout a difficult campaign with the Blues, Abraham’s soared as he became a hero of Rome.According to Calciomercato, United and Tottenham are ‘thinking’ of the 25-year-old ahead of their search for a striker in the next couple of transfer windows. However, Roma are under no pressure to sell, given his contract runs until 2026, and would likely demand north of the £34m they spent on his services one year ago.JUST IN: Arsenal boss Arteta issues ruthless response to Lokonga interview Erik ten Hag and Antonio Conte are eyeing Tammy Abraham.
