Man Utd’s announcement plan for Andre Onana revealed as transfer moves closer

Manchester United hope to announce the signing of Andre Onana in time for the goalkeeper to jet out to Oslo for the start of their pre-season tour, according to reports. The Inter Milan star is wanted by Erik ten Hag to replace David De Gea. A deal is moving closer behind the scenes, with the Cameroon international poised to become the club’s second arrival of the summer transfer window. And 90min say the Red Devils are hoping to announce the arrival of the Inter Milan star by close of play on Sunday. United are ‘beginning to plan’ for Onana’s arrival and they want the 27-year-old to fly out to Oslo this week. Ten Hag’s side are due to face off against Leeds on Wednesday and, if all goes to plan, Onana will be between the sticks for that contest. United then face Lyon the following week, with matches against Arsenal, Wrexham, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Lens and Athletic Bilbao all pencilled in as well. After United sign Onana, they’re then poised to focus on bringing in a new striker.
