MAN UTD TOUR DIARY: Erik ten Hag’s side defeated Arsenal at the MetLife Stadium – but one Gunners supporter caused a major security breach by making their way into the team’s dressing-room
Pep Guardiola has already expressed his dismay at Hollywood star Julia Roberts being a Manchester United fan.
The Manchester City boss, a self-confessed fan of the Pretty Woman star, said he wanted her to come to watch his side play one day and branded himself a “failure” because of her decision to follow United. But Roberts is showing no signs of wavering in her support for United and was at the MetLife Stadium to watch them beat Arsenal 2-0 in the first game of their US tour.
Oscar winner Roberts visited Old Trafford with her family back in 2016, to watch United draw 1-1 with West Ham, where she was given a VIP tour of the pitch and stadium. Roberts was one of 82,262 fans who packed out the MetLife Stadium to watch the clash between the two Premier League rivals this weekend, but one Arsenal supporter caused a major security breach by making their way into the team’s dressing-room.
The fan, wearing an Arsenal shirt, managed to make their way to the dressing-room, which is normally used by NFL sides the New York Giants and New York Jets, before being stopped by security guards.
