Manchester United’s striker search looks to be nearing its end, with Erik ten Hag’s side drawing ever closer to completing a big-money move for Denmark star Rasmus Hojlund
Erik ten Hag is closing in on his third summer signing for Manchester United, or fourth if you include the short-term deal handed to the returning Jonny Evans.
Mason Mount and Andre Onana have already linked up with their new colleagues, while Evans added experience to a youthful side beaten by Wrexham in pre-season. It is no secret that Ten Hag wants and needs a striker, though, and Hojlund looks to be that man.
United are closing in on the Dane, with negotiations with Atalanta continuing, but that’s not the only area where they are keeping busy. Here are the latest lines from around Old Trafford.
Atalanta have completed a move for El Bilal Toure in a move which some expect to pave the way for Rasmus Hojlund’s exit. “Atalanta B.C. would like to extend a warm welcome to El Bilal Touré and wish him the best of luck in his future personal and team endeavours as a black-and-blue,” the club said in a statement.
