Manchester United confirmed their second signing of the transfer window on Thursday with Andre Onana joining from Inter Milan for a fee in the region of £47million
Andre Onana is in line to make his Manchester United debut in Saturday’s friendly against Arsenal in New Jersey.
The Cameroon star completed his £47million move from Inter to United and boarded a flight to the US on Thursday to join his new teammates. Erik ten Hag is hoping to give Onana his debut in the MetLife Stadium against Mikel Arteta’s side in United’s US tour opener.
Onana has agreed a five-year deal with United, with the option of another year, with the club hopeful of confirming the signing in time for the 27-year-old to face the Gunners.
After completing his medical and visa requirements for entry into the US, Onana boarded a flight from Manchester to New York. Ten Hag and his coaching staff will assess Onana’s fitness before deciding if he can play any part in the game against Arsenal.
