Monaco defender Vanderson was among those linked with a Manchester United switch during the summer transfer window, and now the Brazilian has been asked about the links
Vanderson has admitted it is “great” to learn Manchester United are interested in him, though he remains focused on his responsibilities for Monaco.
The 22-year-old’s form on the right in Ligue 1 have earned him international recognition, and he made his senior debut for Brazil in June. He was also on the bench for Saturday’s World Cup qualifier against Bolivia, and has been asked about his club future while away with the Selecao.
United aren’t the only ones keen on the versatile youngster, with Barcelona also reportedly keeping tabs on his performances. If Erik ten Hag can succeed in luring Vanderson to Old Trafford, though, it would allow him to fix what has been a problem area thus far.
“It’s great to hear Barcelona and United âlove’ you,” Vanderson said. United are believed to have scouted the former Gremio man last season, while he has played on the right wing during Monaco’s unbeaten start to the current campaign, scoring in the opening weekend win at Clermont.
