Manchester United’s pre-season preparations are in full swing as they took on Real Madrid on Wednesday night amid ongoing questions over the status of the club ownership following the Glazers’ decision to sell
It’s business as usual for Manchester United despite the ongoing takeover process threatening to derail Erik ten Hag’s plans.
The Red Devils have been up for sale since November, although the much-maligned Glazers are yet to relinquish power to any of the front runners – whether that be Sir Jim Ratcliffe or Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani. As it stands, interested parties are still waiting to hear back following numerous bids.
Whilst the process continues, Erik ten Hag is trying as hard as he can to get his squad prepared for the new season. The Red Devils were in action on Wednesday evening as they took on Spanish giants Real Madrid. Goals from former transfer target Jude Bellingham and Joselu condemned them to a 2-0 defeat.
Elsewhere, Ten Hag remains keen to add new faces to his squad. Rasmus Hojlund appears to be their prime target when it comes to a new forward, whilst Sofyan Amrabat could be drafted in from Fiorentina as a midfield recruit.
